Hidden Surveillance Cameras

0

In public areas such as multiplexes, department stores, casinos, airports, banks, shopping malls and even universities, there is always the presence of hidden surveillance systems, because you will never know when or where a crime might occur. As the name suggests, these hidden cameras are positioned strategically in order to view anyone’s movements or any event without getting noticed. Any kind of suspicious movements can also be viewed on the screen by security personnel, or any footage can be recorded for future viewing.

Surveillance cameras come in many different shapes and sizes, but nowadays it is more viable to make them as small and as compact as possible. As a matter of fact, some modern surveillance cameras are so small that they only measure about a few inches in length and only about a few millimeters in width. However, the larger versions of surveillance cameras are made to be really seen by the public. For many household rooms and offices, small versions of surveillance cameras are usually preferred.

Large establishments use several hidden surveillance cameras in many different places and then connect each and every one of them via cables. All of them are networked into a single CCTV monitor. These CCTV screens are then monitored by you or by security personnel. One obvious benefit of having a CCTV camera system is that different and several views can be seen simultaneously and it requires the use of one screen only.

Hidden security cameras can be hidden in many different inconspicuous methods such as putting them in paintings, table lamps, lightings, clocks, ceiling fans, stuffed toys and other items where you want a particular room to be monitored. Surveillance cameras also come in either wired or wireless systems.

Whichever type of surveillance camera you choose, one thing for sure is that they will still do the job they are supposed to do, that is, to help keep you, your family and your property safe from any acts of crime.

Unlike in the early days, only those who are in the large companies or those who are extremely wealthy are the only ones who can afford to buy such helpful devices. However, nowadays, because of the always evolving advancements in technology when it comes to the creation and production of these security cameras, even the ones with a tight budget can finally afford to buy a security camera system for their homes.

An outdoor security camera that is equipped with a motion detection feature can help you instantly record an incident, especially when an intruder is seen going inside your premises. It is advised that you should have your outdoor security cameras placed strategically so that you will be able to monitor effectively what is going on outside your house. Moreover, there are some criminals who are smart and will try to search for loop holes in your security system, such as blind spots or if they can reach the camera easily, they will try to block it with a bubblegum or any object. However, if you get to strategically place your cameras in areas where they have full vision as well as the units themselves cannot be seen easily, then intruders will have a hard time intruding your home and will think twice before breaking into your house.

If your top priority is to protect your family and keep them away from harm, then you should invest in a home security system. That way, you do not have to worry about potential late night intrusions and you can also keep track of who and what goes on around your home anytime.

Correct Uses of Video Surveillance

0

Our world has changed a lot in the last few decades and a lot of people will agree that you can hardly find someone to trust these days, at least not with your home anyway. The people whom you employ to take care of your home or to take care of your kids may rob you or steal from you. However, having a reliable Surveillance System may actually give you a peace of mind.

Having a video surveillance system allows you to monitor your home and your kids while you are away from home. This is not spying. It is just being a good parent who wants to make sure that the kids are not being abused by the nanny, that the hired helpers are not doing anything mischievous, and that everything is going the way it should inside the home. How much of your house you want to monitor will depend on how much you are willing to spend. Most people usually just install a basic system placed on strategic places in and around the house.

One of the most popular choices for parents is the nanny camera. These are small and wireless cameras that can be placed just about anywhere. Their small form factor gives you the ability to conceal them even on everyday objects such as electronics, appliances, furniture, and even toys. Nanny cameras allow you to monitor if your nanny is abusing your kids or if she is treating them properly.

A basic setup of a video surveillance system will cost you about $200. A more complex and more elaborate system will however cost more. If you have money to spare, you can invest on security cameras that are equipped with night vision capabilities and motion sensors. This way, you will be able to monitor your home even in low lighting conditions and that your security cameras will automatically activate the recording process as soon as it detects any movement.

Investing on a video surveillance system not only makes you feel safe but it gives you a peace of mind as well. However, it is important not to overspend on a system and buy according only to your security needs.
